VETERAN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT 2017-1

The Southwest Veterans Foundation (SWVF) is the charitable arm of the Southwest Veterans Chamber of Commerce. The SWVF will award its next round of college scholarships to eligible Veterans (or eligible Veteran spouse/child) during May 2017. This scholarship may be used for tuition, books, classroom supplies, room and board, and other direct fees levied by the educational institution coincident to college enrollment and attendance. The scholarship will be paid to the college for deposit in the student’s account.

SOUTHWEST VETERANS FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES VETERAN SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

The Southwest Veterans Foundation (SWVF) announced the winners of its 2016-2 Veteran Scholarship Awards today. Craig Bal and Alexia Roberts, both from the University of Arizona, were selected from among applicants for these scholarship awards. They will receive their $1,000 scholarships in public ceremonies at a date to be determined between them and the SWVF.

The Southwest Veterans Foundation (SWVF) announced the winners of its two annual service awards

Ken Speer, President of the Foundation Board of Directors, made the official announcement. “We are pleased to
announce that Southwest Gas and Project Veterans Pride are the recipients of the Annual Patriots Shield and Lincoln Awards respectively.”

ANNOUNCES VETERAN SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
The Southwest Veterans Chamber of Commerce (SWVCC) announced the winners of its second Veteran Scholarship Award today. Byron Munda and Enrique Priego were selected from among applicants for this scholarship award. They will receive their $1,000 scholarships in public ceremonies at a date to be arranged between them and the SWVCC. Both are students at Arizona State University.

The Southwest Veterans Foundation (SWVF) has received its 501(c)(3) designation from the Internal Revenue Service. The Foundation was created as the charitable arm of the Southwest Veterans Chamber of Commerce (SWVCC).

The Southwest Veterans Chamber of Commerce (SWVCC) announced today that it will award a $1,000 college scholarship to an area Veteran in mid-May.
The scholarship announcement and application are available on the SWVCC website, www.southwestveteranschamber.com. In addition to Veterans, currently serving Reservists and National Guard, as well as spouses and children of Veterans killed in action or Veterans with 100% service connected disability are also eligible.

The Southwest Veterans Chamber of Commerce (SWVCC) announced the winner of its first Veteran Scholarship Award today.

Erik Torres was selected from among seven applicants for this inaugural scholarship award. He will receive this $1,000 scholarship in a public ceremony at a date to be arranged
between him and the SWVCC.
