Fifth Annual Dinner Honoring Vietnam Veterans will be October 31

The Fifth Annual Dinner Honoring Vietnam Veterans will be October 31 (Yes, Halloween). The event is four weeks way, and I have to give a head count a week before so the hotel can order the food (dual entre of steak and chicken with the fixings).  These are great events  which honor our American and Vietnamese Vietnam veterans and are patriotic and educational. Joe Galloway (the reporter in We were Soldiers) is our guest speaker, but we are also honored to have MG James T. Jackson, U.S. Army (Retired), Director, Commemoration of the Vietnam War to give a brief update.  ADVS Director Wanda Wright and Kevin Dang, Leader of the Vietnamese Community, will also give brief statements to the attendees. These events are attended by Vietnam Veterans and those who wish to honor Vietnam Veterans.  Please tell your Vietnam Veteran friends about this event.
The word “honor” means to hold in high esteem or respect.  THAT is what these events are about. Let interested people (especially Vietnam Veterans) know about the event by passing around BOTH the invitation AND the RSVP so they can respond.
Please send in your RSVPs with checks ASAP so I can plan the seating and give a head count to the hotel in a timely manner. If you have questions, call me at 520-868-6777.
