Project Veterans Pride, through the James Walton Home (JWH), provides a Rapid Emergent Transitional Housing Program to homeless Veterans. Dr. Christeen Verchot, a 22- year Air Force Nurse Corps Veteran, is the Project Veteran Pride Chairman, and the James Walton Home Executive Director. Verchot explained that “our goal is to restore honor, dignity, and pride to Veterans in need. We do this by providing immediate food, clothing and shelter, and then, setting up an Individual Case Management Program in order to allow them with the access and support in successfully finding permanent housing, and gainful employment when needed.”
